PYTHA - Connect To Network Dongle Following Update

Following installation of either PYTHA V26 or an updated version of the CodeMeter licencing software, users of a PYTHA network dongle may have difficulty accessing their PYTHA licence. It is necessary to make changes to the security settings on the dongle host computer to ensure the PYTHA licence can be shared across the network. 

The following video details how to successfully add an exception for CodeMeter into your Windows Firewall. A summary of the video steps is included below.

  1. Open Windows Security
  2. Open Firewall and network protection
  3. Allow an app through the firewall
  4. Change settings
  5. Allow another app
  6. Add the required exceptions from C:\Program Files\CodeMeter\Runtime\bin (CMWebAdmin.exe, CodeMeter.exe and CodeMeterCC.exe)
  7. Click OK to save
