PYTHA - Straight Edges Exporting as Curves
When processing non-rectangular parts from PYTHA, edges that are intended to be straight may occasionally appear curved after being exported for machining. This typically occurs when the angle is smaller than the value set under "Max angle for arc" in the Environment Settings. PYTHA interprets any angle below this threshold as part of a curve. To ensure such edges are correctly recognised as straight lines, follow the steps below to adjust the settings accordingly.
Below is the part from PYTHA and once exported, is now curved. It has an angle measuring at 15 degrees.
PYTHA Part Exported Part
Make sure that the Max angle for arc is less than the angle on the part
Go to Environment > Segments > Max angle for arc > change to 10 (To be less than the 15 degree angle)
Re-export the Part, it is no longer curved.
Here is a Masterclass on Working with curves
