PYTHA Workshop - Creating Rebates With Router Edges

PYTHA Workshop - Creating Rebates With Router Edges

In PYTHA Workshop, the Router Edges function allows for the creation and export of custom routing. This could be machining for a recessed handle, a groove for an LED light strip housing, or any other face routing that cannot be generated through Type Automatic.

To create custom routing using Router Edges:
  1. Draw a Chain of Edges that matches the required machining
  2. This Chain of Edges might be a single edge segment, a curve, a closed shape, or a combination of these

  1. Ensure your Chain of Edges is positioned exactly on the face of the part you wish to route
  2. Go to Workshop > Router Edges and ensure "Chain of Edges" is turned on

  1. Select the Chain of Edges you want to assign routing to
  2. Use the Router Edges dialogue to specify type, depth, tool and tool compensation of required routing
  3. The selected chain of edges will change colour to indicate that Router Edges is assigned
  4. Click OK to close the Router Edges dialogue

NOTE: When assigning Router Edges it is best to use only EDGES instead of a FACE - Faces in PYTHA have a direction and will not trigger routing if orientated incorrectly
