AlphaCAM - Grain Matching Checklist

When exporting parts to AlphaCAM for Grain Matching, there are a number of important steps that must be followed. If you are having difficulty getting your parts to grain match, check the following Part Attributes to ensure they have ALL been assigned correctly in PYTHA:
  1. Assigned Material attributes have been set up correctly (Allow Rotate = 0, Rotation Angle = 0)
  2. Grain Direction has been assigned to the RIGHT HAND EDGE of all parts to be grain matched
  3. Part Names have been updated and grouped correctly (DF_1A, DF_2A; DF_1B, DF_2B etc)
  4. Parts List has an empty line in the Trailing text field and that the .csv export is set to "Include Footer Text"
  5. Project Header does not contain any commas
NOTE: The AlphaCAM Grain Matching conversion will only work for parts being matched VERTICALLY. If Horizontal Grain Matching is required then the AlphaCAM Assisted Nesting functionality must be used instead.
