ALPHACAM - Create a New Machining Style

To create a new Machining Style, follow these steps:

  1. Add the Cutter to Your Tool Library: Ensure the appropriate cutter is added to your tool library. For guidance, refer to this article.

  2. Access Machining Styles:

    • Go to the View tab.
    • Select Show Project Manager Page.
    • Ensure that Machining Styles is enabled.

  3. Select the Machining Style Type:

    • Find the type of style you want to add (e.g., nesting outline, pocketing, closed contour).

  4. Copy and Paste an Existing Style:

    • Copy an existing style within the same tab.
    • Paste the copied style into the tab.

  5. Edit the Copied Style:

    • Right-click the copied style and select Edit.
    • Adjust the cutter to suit your needs.
    • Go through each tab in the edit style window to ensure all settings meet your requirements.
