PYTHA Plugins - Adding Group Reference Points
In order to successfully add drawer runners using the PYTHA Excel Drawer Runner Plugin, your replaceable drawer blocks must have Group Reference Points assigned. Follow these steps to update an existing drawer library to be compatible with the PYTHA Excel Drawer Runner Plugin.
The following video details the adding of Group Reference Points. A summary of the video steps is included below.
- Save a new copy of your existing drawer cabinet library
- Link this new copy to your Hook menu for easier access while updating
- Right click a cabinet from the hook menu and select "Open"
- Ensure you are in Axo View
- Make the Replace Drawer blocks exclusively visible
- Group each Replace Drawer block into a separate group - each group will contain a single part
- Open the Attributes menu
- Open the Reference Points menu from the Groups section and select Define
- Click on the first Replace Drawer group then add the following Group Reference Points:
- Front Bottom Left
- Front Bottom Right
- Back Bottom Left
- Front Top Left
- Right click to exit the first Replace Drawer group
- Repeat with any remaining Replace Drawer groups
- Once all Replace Drawer groups have their Group Reference Points assigned, right click again to exit the function
- Make all parts visible, ensure Solid and Shaded are on and Save your updated library item
- Repeat this process to update the remainder of your drawer library items
