PYTHA - Changing Your Drawer Runner Excel
When working with drawer runner installations, having accurate drilling is crucial for maintaining consistency and precision. However, as project requirements evolve or hardware specifications change, you may occasionally need to update your Drawer Runner Excel file. Making these changes correctly ensures smooth installation and avoids costly errors. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to safely and effectively make those updates.
To make changes to your Drawer Runner Excel, follow these steps:
- First, make a back up of your current Drawer Runner Excel file.
- Open PYTHA and go to Extras> Edit MODEL Settings Files
- Open the Plugins>Drawer Runner Excel folders, make your back up, then open DrawerRunnerExcel file.
- To make changes to the spreadsheet you will need to enter a password since the sheet is protected
- Click on Format > Unprotect Sheet.
- Enter the password DrawerRunner
The spreadsheet is now able to be edited.
Before saving, you will need to change the last cell in the sheet, simply adding a "1" for example and then delete it. This change will automatically update the DrawerRunnerData.lua file. Be sure to check that the file updates before using in PYTHA.
Below, you'll find two helpful videos, from the Lunch and Learn archive, that demonstrate the process in more detail.
